You can tell that the woman using the keyboard at 3:33 has no idea what she's doing. Who the heck types like that; it's like an inverted split. Even after she positions it 'ergonomically', it's still worse than just a regular straight keyboard. The guy that comes after has a better idea.
Question is, why would I buy this expensive keyboard that will force me to re-wire my muscle memory for keys to help ease my hand pains when I can just buy a microsoft one for 160INS (approximately 53$)? Especially considering it won't have the keys in En+my native language so my muscle memory will be vital to properly write in my language.

Now obsolete, as Dygma has just announced their far superior (and WAY cooler) columnar ergonomic split keyboard with all tte same features–and more. It has built-in tenting, built-in palmrest, wireless connectivity, individually-illuminated hot-swappable switches and keycaps, and fully customizable underglow.
I owned one of these years ago and hated it for some reason and sold it(I think it was because I couldn't find good switches to go into it. It's 2022 now, and my wrists are starting to have problems with how much time I spend at a computer for work and for fun. I picked up an ergodox ez with all the goodies and an mx vertical (because fuck trackball mice). The lack of pain and better switches (and printed caps) have me enjoying it quite a bit now.
if you have wrist pain, You need to get one of these or the moonlander (I didn't like the idea of the plastic wrist rest and the north facing switches, but the overall design of the moonlander does look pretty dope)
I've been remapping caps lock to backspace for years. It's the one remap that I think everyone should do, think about it, how often do you use backspace? How far is it for your poor pinky to stretch to the original backspace?

I got one for stenography because it was the cheapest option that wasn't always sold out. If you need it for steno, just get one. If you need it for any other reason, just get something else
Companies are really out to take advantage of the fact that the people who need ergo keyboards need them for medical reasons most of the time….meaning its not so much of an option so they get to charge whatever they want….and none of them have proper backlit keys or built in macro ability. This one comes the closest with its programming, but lets be honest…that EZ is hideous and about $125 too much with all the bells and whistles. and that under lighting does more to make me want to puke than price tag does. Cutting a keyboard in half does not add $100+ of cost in parts or labor per unit and it doesn't add $100+ in value to the customer unless they have medical issues and even then they have to give up everything else we've come to love about our gaming keyboards.
